10. LIZ WRIGHT
Liz was the Co-ordinator of and worked at Skinners Playground in South Melbourne
for 15 years, and is currently working in a consulting capacity around
art, play and playspaces. She is studying community leadership and is chair
of the Kensington Adventure Playground Committee of Management.
5. MAREE CONHEADY
Maree is a Landscape Architect and operates her own business in the design of
playspaces, particularly involving art and collaboration in the design process.
7. JAMES GILLESPIE
James has a background in Parks and Gardens management, and change management
in Local Government. He has been a Board member and an employee of Greening
Australia Victoria, and in that time spent 13 months seconded to the National
Trust of Australia (Victoria). He is currently completing a Master of Science
in Strategic Foresight at Swinburne University of Technology whilst developing
a management consultancy practice.
9. TONY COPE
Tony operates his own company, Cope Ag, which provides maintenance and construction
services to councils and the playground industry. He is also the President of
the Mont Albert Primary School Council.
11. DIANE PAIN
De has a background in health, leisure, recreation, and education as well as
athletics, and is the researcher and author of the report Children’s Playground
Equipment Related Accidents and Injuries 1992.
13. BRIAN CHAPMAN
Brian says he looks older but feels younger than he is. He has a busy playground
business in Tasmania and calls himself a Playground Consultant. As an ex phys
ed. and primary teacher, council recreation planner, YMCA Coordinator and once
Alderman of a city council he thinks he knows playgrounds inside out and he probably
does.
14. DANI HASSALL
Dani Hassall is a Landscape Architect with experience in Local Government, and
private practice in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Dani is currently working
with Gamble McKinnon Green in Brisbane. She has a strong interest in design and
participation in the design process, how play can affect day to day landscapes,
and she is a Big Kid who likes to play as an adult as much as she can.
